God Loves ME!

OK ok ok....I already knew this but the message at church kinda drove it on home. Sometimes, we just need to get over ourselves. God loves us no matter what. No matter what we do, no matter who we are, He loves us for who we are RIGHT NOW!. He has the power to make us who he wants us to be. He is the potter......and I am the clay. If I was already put together, there would be no room for God to mold me.

Happiness

I just wanted to post something that I recently learned about life in general....We spend so much time in life trying to get to the next level in order to find "happiness". We say things like- If I get a promotion.....have another baby........find true love....... make more money.....get recognition......get my degree THEN, I will be happy. I am sad to inform you that there is NO way to happines. Happines IS the way. In other words, happiness is not a destination...........It is a journey. Decide to be happy in your journey.....Thats all.

Hitchhiker

The other night, my wife and I were driving from a restaurant. It was about 11:45 pm. While driving, my wife noticed a young girl and her baby walking on the sidewalk. My wife was like "We need to see if she needs a ride. That baby aint got no hat on his head!" So I was like OK but if it were me walking with my baby...I wouldnt accept a ride from a perfect stranger. Anyways, my wife asked the girl if she needed a ride and she said yes. She got into the car and we introduced ourselves and we asked her where she was headed. Where she was going was about 10 miles from where we were. That is definately a long way when it is almost midnight, 20 degrees, and you are carrying a 1 year old child in your arms. She said that she had just got into a fight with her boyfriend who was blaming her for the death of her new born. So not only is she dealing with a no good baby daddy but she is also mourning the loss of her child. We took her home and gave her our number to call because he invited her to your church. By the way, the name of the 1 year old was Christian...In a way, I think it was God showing us that being a true Christian is about helping others who are in need. We can all do something in our lives to help others.

Competition

Why is it that people feel that they need to compete in everything? I just cannot stand overly competitive people. I mean.....it is really that big a deal? That's why I "do me". I don't have to try and please people or show off for people to boost my own self esteem. My self esteem comes mostly from within. It is not solely determined by outside entities. Niether is it based on how well I outdo someone.....Anyway. Its just a thought.

Doug Banks Loses Syndication

I was wondering what happend to them...I listened to that show every day for at least 6 years. All of a sudden, Rickey Smiley was in their place. I didnt see any news about it but I found out today that he lost his syndication... So sad. I'm gonna miss them.

Fasting.....

I wasnt gonna post anything about me fasting this month but I had to because God and been showing OUT since I have been fasting. This is my first time fasting and I have just been running into blessing after blessing. Sometimes I feel like I cant even process all of what is happening to me right now. Favor is definately on mine, and my friends lives right now! Again, all I can say is......God is Good all the time....

OOHHHH EIGHT!!!

Welcome to the new year! Man, I am expecting good things this year. I don't know about you guys but 07 was a rough one for me. It consisted of set back after set back....learning experience after learning experience. One thing I did learn was, when we are at our weakest, God is at His strongest. I plan on having a closer relationship with God. That is my primary New Year's resolution. God does business with people who mean business for Him. If do that...everything else should fall into place. Happy New Year and Be Blessed!
